October 5-6-7, 2021  Virtual Workshop

Iowa ASCD is partnering with NIET (National Institute for Excellence in Teaching) to provide a three-day virtual workshop on the Instructional Framework of Iowa on October 5-6-7, 2021.
 
What is an Instructional Framework and why do we need one?
The NIET Instructional Framework for Iowa is a resource that is designed to support improvement in teaching and learning.
How?
By clearly defining effective teaching and student-centered instruction, the NIET Instructional Framework provides teachers with a common language to strengthen their practices through collaboration, feedback, and support.
Workshop Overview: This 3-day training provides instructional leaders with a foundational understanding the Iowa Instructional Framework.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of:
  • the framework indicators and descriptors
  • how to use the framework to train, support and coach teachers using the common language  
  • teaching and learning practices outlined in the NIET Instructional Framework for Iowa

Who should attend:  Bring a team!  Even if you are not using the NIET Instructional Framework, you can invite a team to learn more about the Framework to attend this session.  Consider your superintendent, TLC leads, instructional coaches, teacher leaders, and principals for this learning opportunity

Where:  Virtual Event – a personalized link will be sent to you one day prior to event. Session links will be availabe for 30 days for registered participants.

Fee: $225 and every fourth team member is $150
