Event Description

"The Power of Collective Efficacy" (04/11/2019 - 04/12/2019)

The 2019 Curriculum Leadership Academy, "The Power of Collective Efficacy” with Jenni Donohoo will take place on April 11 & 12, 2019 in Ankeny, Iowa.
 
Please plan to join us for on-site registration and continental breakfast from 8:00 – 9:00 AM on April 11, 2019, at the FFA Enrichment Center, which is located at 1055 SW Prairie Trail Parkway in Ankeny, IA 50023 on the DMACC campus.
 
Come and learn with Jenni Donohoo, the author of Collective Efficacy: How Educators' Beliefs Impact Student Learning.  This two-day institute is designed to develop an understanding of Hattie's highest ranking influence, collective efficacy; which is the belief that together educators can positively influence student learning.
Jenni will guide learning and facilitate the intentional connection between the power of system-wide collaborative inquiry and the impact of this research on student achievement.   Time and guidance will be embedded to create action plans and student outcomes for the purpose of strengthening the culture within your school.

 
Participants will walk away with numerous actions to use in your school.

DatesApril 11, 2019 -   9:00 AM. - 3:30 PM. with continental breakfast available from 8:00 - 9:00 AM      Lunch on your own.
April 12, 2019 – 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM academy in session with continental breakfast at 8:00 AM   Lunch Provided. 
                           
 Where:  FFA Enrichment Center, 1055 SW Prairie Trail Parkway in Ankeny, IA 50023.
 
Parking:  On site and free!
 
Lodging (if needed):  Courtyard by Marriott, 2405 SE Creekview Drive, Ankeny, IA  50021    Rate:  $119 night + tax as long as you register before March 30 and share you are attending the Iowa ASCD conference.
 
Gone Green!  Be sure to bring your digital devices as we have gone green!  Handouts will be available electronically.
 
Food:  A continental breakfast and lunch will be served.  Be sure to let Jo Prusha (jprusha@centralriversaea.org) know of any special dietary needs by April 1, 2019
 
Cancellation Policy:  If you are unable to attend the event for which you registered, please contact Becky Martin  (rjmartin@mchsi.com or 319.533.8050) at least 7 days in advance for a full refund.  If your notification is provided within one week of the event, you will be provided a written voucher that may be presented by an individual of your choice on the day of the event. Failure to notify the need for cancellation or replacement will result in the full charge for the event.
